In the 1940s, unfortunately, a number of unfortunate bridge accidents occurred in Sweden due to U-bolts used for the bridges' steel wire ropes. A Swedish engineer was inspired to solve the problem during a trip to the United States. The Swedish engineer with the surname Lundqvist developed and patented a unique wire clamp (the first of its kind in Europe). The product became the foundation for a series of products that made the company the market leader in the area in Scandinavia.
