The company Stamperia Carcano Giuseppe was founded in the late 1950s in Italy by Giuseppe Carcano Giuseppe, his wife Ebe and his sister Franca. The family owned a workshop which was converted so that steel casting could be carried out - thus opening the door to completely new business opportunities. Throughout the 1970s the company invested in new innovative production technologies which meant that the company could produce very high quality goods and the products were therefore now in demand all over the world. Throughout the 1980s, the company's exports grew to previously unknown heights and the company expanded the product range, and at the end of the 1990s the company was one of the largest European manufacturers in the field. At the same time, CARTEC was launched as an addition to the company's large range.
