COMEGE is a French family-owned company that designs and manufactures cranes and lifting equipment. The factory is located in the heart of Burgundy, about 100 kilometres from Lyon. The company was founded in 1984 and in 1922 the focus was directed towards gantry cranes, jib cranes and other lifting equipment. The company's entire production is subject to a strict traceability process. For example, a jib crane takes shape in five stages. As soon as the jib crane's column is received, it is cut and immediately given an identification plate. Then the base plate is welded onto the column. This preliminary structure is delivered to a workshop technician who assembles the other elements that make up the jib crane. Once assembled, it is taken to the paint booth and prepared for shipping.
