Fall protection equipment is personal protective equipment that protects the user in the unfortunate event of a fall. Fall protection often has a number of individual parts, e.g. fall protection belts, support belts, lines (connecting the belt and the belt with the other equipment) and shock absorbers.
Equipment for fall protection must be maintained according to the supplier's instructions and in accordance with the The Danish Working Environment Authority's guidelines and must in the vast majority of cases have these inspections: Main inspection every 12 months carried out by a competent person - in relation to criteria for scrapping, the supplier's instructions are followed, for example, many fall protection products have a maximum lifetime of e.g. 10 years while others have an unlimited lifetime. The requirement for an inspection is described in The Danish Working Environment Authority's order no. 1706 of 15 December 2010 on the use of personal protective equipment §5-6 and At-guideline D.5.5-3 on Fall protection.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FALL PROTECTION
Fall arrest equipment must not be used if it has been used to arrest a fall, has been subjected to other stress or has been repaired (unless the repair has been carried out by the manufacturer). Also remember to check the permitted weight for which the equipment is approved - some equipment is approved up to 150 kg (full weight including equipment) while others are not approved for an equally high number of kilos.

Documentation when inspecting fall protection equipment
The inspection must be indicated by a sticker which is visibly placed on the equipment or the equipment's control card.
Our labeling is unique and all pallet racks are marked with our unique label. It is printed directly from our service system EasyCert and contains the date of the last inspection, the date of the next inspection, our unique ID and, if you wish, can also contain your unique ID number or whatever you want - some of our customers are equipped with personal fall protection and it is therefore labeled with the employee's name. The label also contains a QR code that easily gives our fitter and you easy access to all the history of the fall protection equipment in question.
