Our Crane Service includes testing and servicing of all types of cranes. All our employees have the necessary expertise and meet your needs, such as 24-hour service.

The requirement for a 12-month inspection and a 10-year main inspection is laid down in the Norwegian Working Environment Authority's order no. 428 on Lifting Equipment and Winches §§ 22-27. We carry out inspection and service of all types of Cranes, Hoists and Winches for both lifting and pulling.
Which brands do we do service on?
Our inspection procedure is universal and covers all brands. At the same time, they are 100% transparent, as you can see exactly which steps we go through on each Crane, Hoist or Winch. Our service technicians simply and efficiently create separate certificates for all pieces of equipment through our EasyCert system. You can read more about the process behind Crane Service further down the page.
Examples of crane types we inspect:
We carry out crane service on almost all types of cranes, e.g. Jib Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Hoist Tracks, Gantry Cranes, Mobile Gantry Cranes, Davit Cranes, etc.

Our crane technician arrives
Our service technician arrives at the agreed time and the optimal procedure for the statutory inspection is agreed. We bring, depending on what has been agreed, both a lift and a test load.

The statutory inspection begins
The inspection is started and all Lifting Equipment is registered in EasyCert.

Complete registration
All our statutory inspections of Cranes and Lifting Equipment are carried out via individual checklists that ensure high quality and a uniform inspection - every time.

Marking
All equipment is marked. Each piece of equipment gets a unique ID, QR code and shows both the date of the last and next inspection. Our brands are made in the official year color unless otherwise agreed.

Documentation is ready immediately in EasyCert
As soon as the individual equipment is approved, the individual certificate will be ready in EasyCert - both on our app and on the web.

Online overview in EasyCert
When the inspection is completed, you can easily get a full overview of all your equipment, create reports, pull data and see all details - in one place.

We will contact you again
About 3 months before the date of the next statutory inspection is due, we will contact you again.

You get the best service management system in the industry for free, together with our Crane Service.
You get access to your certificates 24-7.
Once we have inspected your crane, your crane will be created in our EasyCert system. Regardless of the time, via EasyCert you will be able to type e.g. the crane's serial number and find the product's master card with associated certificate. EasyCert is a free service offered to all FKU's customers. What was previously reserved for a few selected customers is available to everyone - we do not consider that the security of "smaller" customers is less important.
Simple "extraction" and "loading"
We are aware that cranes are also traded with our competitors, so we help upload cranes bought from our colleagues - and also provide the opportunity for the individual user to upload individual certificates on their cranes.
See upcoming inspection
You will always be able to see that you have booked your inspection at FKU and continuously follow the status of these yourself.
Order an installer - easy and simple

More information on statutory inspections of Cranes, Hoists and Winches
The statutory inspection must be carried out by the supplier or another expert.
The inspection must take place:
- Minimum every 12 months.
- On used Cranes, Hoists and Winches before they are put into use by the new owner.
- After the equipment has been taken out of daily operation and put back into use. For example, if an Electric Hoist has been put in storage and taking back into use again.
At all inspections, the following parts (if present on the Crane, Hoist or Winch in question) are examined:
Mechanical parts
Safety equipment
Any operating bodies
Power supply
Any hydraulic components
Any pneumatics (air under pressure)
Any electrical equipment.
In addition, all adjustable safety equipment and parts of safety importance are reviewed.
In addition to the above, all equipment with a hoisting function must have a test load carried out after the test load, the equipment must be checked for any faults and defects. The degree of the load test varies according to the crane's lifting capacity in a span, for example WLL (Working Load Limit) +25%. Lifting Equipment designed for lifting people and winches must also have a test load carried out.
10-year inspection of Cranes, Hoists and Winches
In addition to the statutory inspection, there is a separate requirement that Cranes, Hoists and Winches for lifting that are used outdoors every 10 years must again be inspected by a special expert (this replaces the 12-month inspection in the year in question). The 10-year inspection is carried out in practice by the supplier or other similar service company. The inspection includes load-bearing parts, welding, joints, safety equipment and transmission parts, etc
