The crane operators of the future use equipment from Fyns Kran Udstyr

At CELF in Nykøbing, Tomm Møss teaches many courses, but the crane training course is particularly close to his heart. That is why the equipment and lifting gear must also be in order. The collaboration between CELF and Fyns Kran Udstyr goes back several years, and Tomm Møss makes no secret of the fact that it is especially his personal relationship with our consultant Jacob that strengthens the collaboration. “It's so great that he shows up,” says Tomm Møss. “And when we need something, we can get it quickly.”

Quality and safety first

In 2025, Fyns Kran Udstyr also took over the service division of CELF, both the Nykøbing and Maribo branches. "When we switched to you, we discovered that some equipment that had previously been approved was no longer acceptable. So we had to invest in something new, and I'm fine with that."

The collaboration between CELF and Fyns Kran Udstyr actually goes back so many years that some of the equipment was purchased from Fyns Kran Udstyr over 20 years ago. Tomm Møss and his students take really good care of it, which is why it still works and is inspected every single year.

An electric truck crane and Fehmarn Belt

CELF trains the crane operators of the future, which is why the green transition is a major part of their plans for the future. They recently acquired an electrically powered hydraulic truck crane for the crane yard, which students can use for practice, along with a wide range of lifting equipment, including a large selection of round slings and Twist4Lift. The truck crane is one of the only ones at an educational institution in Denmark.

Tomm Møss's many teams also train workers for the upcoming Fehmarn Belt connection, primarily training riggers for the construction sites.

“EasyCert is easy because everyone has a cell phone in their pocket.”

Our certificate system, EasyCert, is also extremely easy to use, according to Tomm Møss. Especially since all of his students carry a cell phone in their pocket, it is quick to scan a QR code and thus ensure that the equipment is in order.

Tomm previously had a provider that used paper documentation, and he doesn't want to go back to that. “I prefer the electronic part; I don't want all that paper,” he says. "The QR codes work really well. Everyone has a cell phone in their pocket." At CELF, the crane operators of the future are trained with a focus on sustainability, safety, documentation control, and, of course, proper lifting equipment.
